This article is for those who keen to become “Dayak Towkay Baru”; if Change does matter?
I want to be a new “Dayak Towkay Baru” then you need to rethink your life now!
Imagine, if you will (some day), a life free from financial obligations and concerns (other than RIP). No worries about not having enough money ever again, no desire for more money because you have everything you want that money can buy or your dream have came through.
Bekuli forever or start to build your own financial freedom
Just imagine spending 8 to 12 hours daily, you now spend working for money on living your dream, doing whatever fills the void inside and feeling completely fulfilled each day of your life. That is what we called financial freedom. It’s also mean by saving now and builds wealth for your next generation needs. Your kids will feel the freedom more than you do today.
Some of all poverty, are you going to sleep and/or slip further?
- Some of us might have suffered from the current global credit crunch and/or financial crisis
- Some suffered from political crisis
- Some shy away from being known and/or branded as indigenous or “bangsa orang DLL” not “DHL”
- Some might have suffered from broken family, broken marriage, broken heart
- Some prefer to remain dependence because their parents and/or grand parents believe in dependence
- Some suffered from systematic racial discrimination and marginalization
- Some are land towkays but dirt poor
- Some are good leaders but lack element of smartness
- Some are smart leaders but preferred to become passengers
- Some prefer easy business; jadi bapa ayam, jual badan, jadi “tailow”, etc
- Some identities are about to be erased for good thus become the lost tribes of Borneo like “The Last Mohican”
- Some simply ignore their future and move on with their life boozing at the pubs or coffee shops
- Some prefer to enjoy themselves as there is no tomorrow “If tomorrow never come”
- Some wonder why others are lucky and rich, I am not?
- Some just “gets stoned” by the roadside in order to release their tensions and/or pains
- Some thinking of getting rich faster buying lottery tickets, 4D, Toto Jackpot, Genting Casino, Skim Cepat Kaya, etc
- Some just sitting dug waiting for someone to give them “instant noodles” and “ang pows”
- Some dreams of becoming rich but don’t know how to become one?
- Some just secured their big loans start spending lavishly on; big car, big house, big Handphone, big TV, big speakers, big furniture but ignoring their debts
- Some endlessly blame others even their own parents and/or pointing fingers on others but they are only hero of hypocrites
- Some become lover boys (apai blues) and/or sugar babes (indai blues) but neglected their family at home
Nothing is easy if you hadn’t tried hard, if others can succeed why not you?
Now let kick some ass, wake up and see the realization that you need to make some drastic changes in the way you spent your money and your classical living standard. First, cut a ton of fat out of your spending, paid off all of your credit cards, paid off your vehicle, put thousands away in an emergency fund, and started now!
Be your own “Personal Financial Controller” or “Personal Chief Financial Officer” and start managing your expenses, and cut your spending by 50% of your take-home after-tax income. Used the rest of that money to make a large payment on your student loan debt or other liability, do some investment and saving, save for a home down payment, and build up your emergency fund (Tabung Kebajikan Keluarga - TKK) even more. Since your income and/or salary is your Capital, kindly focus more on your personal capital needs rather than your Capital Expenditure (CAPEX). Do what is necessary to save and cut cost immediately if your wants future freedom.
Financial Success, what does it take to prosper?
1. Do you want to learn how you can put more money in your pocket and/or wallet?
2. Do you want to learn what it takes to make your finances all come together so that you no longer have to worry about how the bills will be paid?
3. If so, then you are about to discover a method for bring more money into your life and keeping it where it belongs – WITH YOU! So, you are wondering, how can I do this?
It is simple, really. Money comes to us as a result of the different actions that we take. If we decide to merely take a paycheck for the hours that we have put in, then there is a limit to how much we will be compensated. That is just the way that it works. Not “My Way”, the way. Discipline is the key word! If can’t discipline yourself, how would you be able to discipline your kid or others?
But, if you can produce something more valuable than just your time, and something that is unique to you, then the limits no longer apply. Think about an author for example. If they write a book, they can possibly sell thousands or millions of copies of that book. If a writer could write a good movie scripts, he/she might be able to earn millions of profits. If a blogger could publish some interesting articles, he/she could generate income from his/her blog, example “Malaysiakini”. So….can you do something based on this scenario now? Uji cuba try?? Be creative uchak….
So, the question to ask yourself is whether or not the stuff you spend your money on is worth sacrificing this type of freedom. Is splurging for a new Lexus versus driving your Kancil for a few more years really worth what you truly give up for it? For me, I will never go back to spending anywhere near all of my income in a given month, at least not until retirement. The freedom from spending money is an incredible freedom. This article is for you wahai Bansa Dayak…. Right on! That’s the main reason why you need to achieve financial independence: Freedom!
Conclusion
Your must not only knows how to save but must know how to manage your Financial Freedom as well. All of us have heard the term “financial freedom” before. However, very few people ever take the time to comprehend its significance in life.
Financial freedom is NOT the same as being rich, or having a lot of money or assets. One can have multi-millions of ringgits or billions of rupiahs and still not have financial freedom. This is one of the main reasons why those who have money are not always happy or successful.
They are actually phobia of loosing their life, basically an act of insecurity. But if bansa Dayak want to compete and/or be at par with others, they must build their financial freedom now. Government can’t help you to design your future, it’s just too bad that it has to be you! Nuan!! Sigi nuan empu madek…..
Successful people do not think much about luck. Don’t play luck and/or gamble your future. Victorians certainly do not depend on it. Of course, they gladly accept the little extra push it gives when it comes their way. Life is pretty exciting, it’s full of adventure.
However, people must realize that luck visits everyone on an unpredictable schedule, and persistent effort, wise choices, good analysis, careful research and/or feasibility study, and extra intelligent planning are better vehicles to drive in any quest for success.
Candid questions:
1. Why waste all of your time and your energy punching a clock when there is a limit to the amount of cash that you can make?
2. Why sweat and bleed for a company that will just throw you away at the next economic downturn?
3. You can have more money than you have ever dreamed of when you learn how to tap into your true potential and unlock the secrets to bringing more and more into our life! Isn’t that what you want? Yes………?
Have a nice reading and a pleasant day!
Maju Dayak, Maju Bansa, Idup Dayak Towkay Baru!!
